I will use a qualitative approach to study decentralized project teams to understand their information and communication practices.

The PhD experience can be re-imagined as being more community-oriented and having real-world impact.
How do you envision connecting your PhD work with broader career possibilities?
I can broaden my career possibilities beyond academic to research-intensive sectors like the government or think tanks.
How does your research engage with the larger community and social partners?
My research will mostly focus on sustainable initiatives using innovative technology. Currently, I am supporting a sustainable mining initiative in BC.
Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
It took me a long time to find my way. But after many incidents in life, I have realized that learning and intellectual engagement bring me peace, motivation, empathy and positive energy. I hope to pay it forward by conducting meaningful research that will benefit society and the environment.
Why did you choose to come to British Columbia and study at 亚洲天堂?
Years ago, while searching for a higher institution for my graduate program, I fell in love with a picture of 亚洲天堂's rose garden and all the ocean and mountains surrounding it. After that, I felt the 亚洲天堂 online system was really professional, smart and effective. Coming here, my love for 亚洲天堂 was enhanced by its safe, intellectually-nurturing and inclusive environment. 亚洲天堂 has been my intellectual home since.
