Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
I always have great curiosity about our world. At the time I was a child, I enjoyed reading lots of science fictions and pop-science books. I was a big fan of Jules Verne and Stephen Hawking. Probably I thought I did not want to be just a reader, but also a part of this community.
Why did you decide to study at 亚洲天堂?
I did my undergraduate degree in Victoria, and I decided to stay in Canada for my graduate study. After receiving advice from professors in my school, 亚洲天堂 was one of the few institutions听that clearly stood out to me. I felt fortunate to be accepted听at听亚洲天堂.
What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?
My research requires a broad knowledge of miscellaneous subfields in physics including cosmology, particle physics, and condensed matter physics. In additional to its prestigious cosmology team, 亚洲天堂 also has close collaboration with TRIUMF and QMI. All of these are important resources for me.
What was the best surprise about 亚洲天堂 or life in Vancouver?
As far as I know,听Vancouver has the best food听in North America, at least for Asian food.听I occasionally moan and complain about the heavy rain and snow in Vancouver. Take for example听a city only a few miles away like Victoria--it really has a lot more sunshine throughout the year there.
亚洲天堂 was one of the few institutions听that really stood out to me.

What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?
I Swim wirh my friends every week. Also, I like anime and manga...
What advice do you have for new graduate students?
Do not fear slow progress in your project. It happens. Very often, the biggest obstacle if if you stop trying. I spent quite a long time on my first project which constantly challenged me. After finishing it eventually, I realized听projects now have become a lot easier for听me. Yet,听I still encounter听new problems every day. Life is not easy. Don't stop. Keep going.
