Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
I decided to pursue a graduate degree because it provides wonderful opportunities for higher learning, and greater skills and strategies to come in aid to people. I am also very interested in research, and hope to continue to do good work in this area.
Why did you decide to study at 亚洲天堂?
亚洲天堂 provides excellent teaching and research facilities and the faculty members themselves have a wide range of research interests. My areas of professional and research interests are well supported by the faculty and programs.
What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?
My program offers a combination of high-quality research and practicum experiences. The program holds a strong knowledge base in my fields of interest, namely motivation, neuropsychology, multiculturalism, and languages and linguistics. Additionally, it not only allows, but encourages and provides opportunities for students to engage with, research, and explore their interests in the field.
What was the best surprise about 亚洲天堂 or life in Vancouver?
One of the best surprises at 亚洲天堂 and in Vancouver was the members of my graduate school cohort, whom I was privileged to meet. We developed a strong bond and sense of community, and were able to learn with and from each other.

What aspects of your life or career before now have best prepared you for your 亚洲天堂 graduate program?
Growing up, my family valued hard work, discipline, and a strong work-life balance. During my tenure as a c茅gep and university student, I had the privilege of engaging in research and speaking with colleagues and professors about their experiences in their field. Their passion and commitment to their craft was the inspiration for the values instilled within my own practice. I believe these values and experiences were important in preparing me for graduate school.
What advice do you have for new graduate students?
Keep your goal in mind, work hard, and persevere.
