Welcoming graduate students to campus

As we approach the start of the 2024/25 start of term, we are happy to welcome incoming graduate students to campus. With more than 11,000 graduate students on campus, there are orientation activities for everyone. Check with your program or department for faculty-specific orientations.

ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies office has partnered with the Graduate Student Society (GSS) and International Student Development to offer a series of events for students.

August 27: GradPrep Day. Get a head start on your studies with these focused online workshops. Resources and materials available on if you miss the session.

August 29: at the Chan Centre 12-6pm (livestreamed)

  • 12:30 – 2 pm International Student Welcome
  • 2:30 – 4:15 pm Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Welcome for all students
  • 4:15 – 6 pm ‘The Social’ Outdoor Fair
  • 6 – 9 pm GSS Grad Night at Koerner's Pub

September 3: Grad booth at Imagine Day

September 4: Community Partners Resource Fair at the First Nations Longhouse for Indigenous students

September 21: F for students with children (any family can attend, not just residents of Acadia Park)
