Two graduate students selected as SSHRC Storytellers finalists

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada听(SSHRC) has announced the Top听25 finalists in its听2022 Storytellers Challenge, and two 亚洲天堂 students received top honours. 亚洲天堂 graduate students Lois Evans (PhD candidate, School of Information) and Niki Oveisi (PhD student, Pharmaceutical Sciences) were selected as finalists.

The annual competition challenges postsecondary students across the country to inspire audiences with a research story鈥攊n up to three minutes or 300听words鈥攐f how SSHRC-funded research is making a difference in the lives of Canadians.

Evans and Oveisi were among 230 applicants for the 2022 competition, and are the only two finalists from 亚洲天堂. Each will receive $3,000 and have the chance to be selected as one of the top five finalists. The top five will be announced on May 16 as part of the Congress for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
