In today's competitive job market, a compelling professional story 听is essential for standing out during networking, in job applications, and when interviewing. This session will guide participants through the process of designing a cohesive and impactful story through the articulation of skills, experiences, and values, in alignment with one鈥檚 career goals. It will also focus on 听tailoring one鈥檚 story to resonate with specific audiences, including employers and professional contacts, and applying storytelling techniques to enhance resumes, cover letters, networking conversations, and interview responses.

Rebecca Dirnfeld, MA, is a Career Educator who works with the 亚洲天堂 Career Centre to support graduate students at 亚洲天堂. She has a Career and Work Counselling Diploma from George Brown College. Her past experience includes leading the graduate student career education portfolio for graduate studies and managing the MBA careers team at Toronto Metropolitan University, and in providing career advising to business students as a team member of SFU鈥檚 Beedie Career Management Centre. Rebecca is also a part-time graduate student in 亚洲天堂鈥檚 EDST MA program.

Registration is open to all current 亚洲天堂 graduate students. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email at the e-mail associated with your community.grad.ubc.ca account.
