In today's competitive job market, a compelling professional story Ìýis essential for standing out during networking, in job applications, and when interviewing. This session will guide participants through the process of designing a cohesive and impactful story through the articulation of skills, experiences, and values, in alignment with one’s career goals. It will also focus on Ìýtailoring one’s story to resonate with specific audiences, including employers and professional contacts, and applying storytelling techniques to enhance resumes, cover letters, networking conversations, and interview responses.

Facilitator

Rebecca Dirnfeld, MA, is a Career Educator who works with the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Career Centre to support graduate students at ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ. She has a Career and Work Counselling Diploma from George Brown College. Her past experience includes leading the graduate student career education portfolio for graduate studies and managing the MBA careers team at Toronto Metropolitan University, and in providing career advising to business students as a team member of SFU’s Beedie Career Management Centre. Rebecca is also a part-time graduate student in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ’s EDST MA program.
