This webinar will provide a detailed overview of the upcoming graduate award competition for the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship - Masters (CGRS M). It will review the eligibility criteria, competition details, and application procedures. There will be time for Q/A after the presentation. Feel free to submit your questions when registering.听

Please note: this session will review the application procedures involved with the CGRS M as discussed in the , it will not cover grant writing and formatting techniques.听If you are interested in learning more about writing a strong grant application, watch the recording for our听Preparing Excellent Fellowship Applications听workshop from July 2025.

Who should attend?

To be eligible for CGRS M, one must be

  • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or a Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) as of the application deadline date, and
  • be enrolled in, have applied for or will apply for full-time admission to an eligible graduate program at the master鈥檚 or doctoral level that can be started within the eligible dates of the competition year at a Canadian institution with a CGRS M allocation.

Facilitator

Brendan Morey is the Assistant Dean, Student Administration and Awards, in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, with many years of experience overseeing scholarship competitions and collaborating with funding agencies across Canada.
